On Tuesday, July 16, from 6-8 p.m., Lincoln Land Community College hosted the Transportation and Industrial Expo at its Workforce Careers Center to showcase opportunities for people looking for hands-on career training. Community members had a chance to learn more about LLCC’s job-focused courses and about the careers they lead to. Prospective students spoke with their instructors and started the first steps to enroll. Guests were also able to see hands-on demonstrations meet with current students, graduates and employers in their field. Thad France, AIEC Manager of Lineworker and Apprentice Development; Dalton Whitley, Menard Electric Cooperative Operations Manager (former LLCC line student); and Mitchel Royer, Spring Line School student, spoke to prospective enrollees.
