The Safety and Energy Conference (SEC), formerly known as the SST Conference, is our annual conference focusing on safety and leadership in the energy industry. Attendees will learn new solutions to industry challenges, strategies to strengthen your safety culture, and relevant training to keep them informed. Experience cutting-edge products, technology, and tools at the exhibitor show. Attendees will have the opportunity to connect with their peers on similar issues, share ideas, and make connections. SEC presenters, attendees, and exhibitors are at the forefront of the industry.

Utility Line Clearance School
May 15-19, 2023
Wayne Fitzgerrell State Park, Whittington, IL
Our annual line clearance forestry school will be held on the grounds of Wayne Fitzgerrell State Park. It is designed to accommodate both experienced and inexperienced employees who wish to become more proficient in the field of Line Clearance – Right of Way Management. We also offer a three-day course during this time that will help prepare line personnel responding to outages and storm damage caused by trees. We have always strived to teach students based on the newest standards available to our industry. Participants will be expected to demonstrate procedures and be competent in their application upon completion of the school. Once completing this course, they will receive a certificate of completion. CEU’s will be available through the International Society of Arboriculture.

AIEC Annual Meeting
August 3, 2023

Enhance your relationship with Illinois co-op CEOs, directors and key staff who influence buying decisions during the AIEC Annual Meeting. You’ll be able to mingle with these co-op reps during a special evening social event that will include great food, refreshments, prizes and fun. This event is only open to Associate Members and AIEC Annual Meeting Sponsors.

IEC Chris Schinneer Memorial Golf Outing
August 11, 2023
Oak Brook Golf Club- Edwardsville, IL
Each year the Chris Schinneer Memorial Golf Outing is held at a golf course on cooperative lines and is attended by cooperative managers, employees, directors, retirees and friends. Golfers spend the morning playing golf and then enjoy an awards luncheon immediately afterwards. The outing is enjoyed by all that attend because it’s a fun filled way to get to know the cooperative family. Don’t fret if you’re not a golfer, the day is all about the relationships you make and not the score of the game!

Lineman’s Safety Rodeo
September 21, 2023 (Tentative)
Lincoln Land Community College, Springfield, IL
Get to know the safety coordinators, operations staff, line foremen, journeymen, apprentices and even meet the line school students who use or could benefit from using your products. Casual and fun outdoor event with plenty of room to bring extra equipment for demonstrations. Lunch provided on the grounds. Many cooperative staff, other than those participating in the LSR, and contestants family members also attend. This is an event open to Associate Members and Sponsors only.

This exhibiting event is attended by cooperative engineers, IT staff, managers, and many other decision makers from Illinois and Indiana cooperatives. Lunches, breaks and reception in exhibitor room. PE credits are available to those that register as a participant (not as an exhibitor).
