On Friday, January 6, AIEC employees said their farewells to Eric E. “Rick” Polley, AIEC manager of field services, who retired after 30 years.
Rick began his AIEC service in 1986 as a member services representative. A graduate of the University of Illinois College of Agriculture, Polley holds a Bachelor of Science degree in agriculture mechanization and worked as an electrician before joining the AIEC. His responsibilities evolved to include oversight of special group purchases, the AIEC building and grounds and fleet of vehicles, cooperative annual meeting support, and coordination of the IEC Emergency Work Plan.
Rick says that after 30 years, he’s “looking forward to turning the page and starting a new chapter in his life where every day is a Saturday.”
We wish him well in retirement!
