Youth to Washington Leaders Selected
Posted on 06-15-2010Participants on the Youth to Washington tour have chosen their Youth Leadership Council representative and the Manager of the Chip and Pop Co-op.
Steven Myers of Southern Illinois Electric Cooperative was chosen to be the Youth Leadership Council representative for Illinois. He will represent Illinois at the NRECA annual meeting in 2011. Steven will be a senior at Cobden High School and is the son of Donald Myers, Jr. and Paula Holderfield.
Amanda Arns of Adams Electric Cooperative was chosen by her peers to be the manager of the "Heart Attack Snack Shack" chip and pop cooperative. This cooperative is formed annually to help the students understand the business principles of cooperatives. Amanda will be a senior at Quincy Notre Dame High School in the fall and is the daughter of David and Janet Arns.
