ICECF and TCEC help local camp update lighting
Posted on 04-14-2010

Thanks to efforts by Bruce Barkau of Tri-County Electric, the DuBois Center has new lighting fixtures in its renovated Oak Lodge. A grant of $3,280 from the Illinois Clean Energy Community Foundation (ICECF) helped enable the camp to upgrade the lighting fixtures and bulbs in their 45-year old structure in southern Washington County. Barkau facilitated the application and bidding process.
The ICECF invests in clean energy development and land preservation efforts - working with communities and citizens to improve the environmental quality in Illinois. It supports programs and projects that improve energy efficiency, develop renewable energy resources and preserve and enhance natural areas and wildlife habitats throughout the state.
